I have a Sony 60 inch rear projection that just lost sound and picture. The lamp light now blink continually. Would I lose sound also if it was the lamp?

The possible cause of the fault is the lamp if you replace the lamp, do not forget to reset the lamp hour meter or try to check your user manual in replacing the lamp good day and best regards.

Hi,
Its symptom of weak lamp that reaches to end of its working hours life span. If lamp has not been replaced in last 2-3 years then replace it to fix tv problem.
Lamp replacement procedure is easy and written in user manual.
Please buy Sony original lamp for good picture in tv.

No picture and buzzing sound on Sony XBR Wega

Is the bulb light flashing ? - Sony's bulb light is very accurate in telling you if the bulb is bad. The buzzing sound could be from the balist trying to strike the lamp. You also may want to open the lamp door and see if the bulb is shattered.
