are thy easy to replace if i do know how to solder and will i be able to identify them if i use you to fix the problem

I believe you are referring to the convergence adjustment. If the cross-hairs do not align then its a 100% guarantee that the source of the problem are the convergence amplifier ICs. We will have to replace the two STK ICs along with any resistors found to be faulty which begs the question- Do you know how to solder?

Great! Now I remember that your tv uses STK-392-110 but we will verify it first. On the board with the flyback look behind the heatsinks. You will find black colored ICs stuck behind each heatsink. The STK amp number should be printed on them. Have a look and let me know

Please replace convergence output chips in tv to solve the problem. It requires good soldering skills/ expertise and click to buy convergence repair kit for this tv that has all required parts and instructions.

Try to adjust the digital array, if it is still bad the two chips will need replacing. I've had it done three time in 7 years at $300.00 a pop

no you will need to send it to a shop to have it fixed.it will be something to do with the convergence controls .you have 3 tubes red green and blue there is no yellow tube...have a shop fix it

Prints all yellow, with some blue and black, no brown

the problem is very simple the magenta ink the cartridge is over or the head is been blocked from where the magenta ink comes out,
because red colour requires ---yellow plus magenta(pink)----to make it red.and ----dark yellow plus magenta(pink) -------- for brown colour.

Phone line/phone jack problem

The wiring on the jacks is set up for a 2 line phone.

If you take the jacks apart, you will see either:
A) red, green, and black, yellow
B)white blue/blue white and white orange/orange white

You need to swap the pairs.
If there are red/green/black/yellow wires. remove the yellow/black and move them to where the red/greens are. Then put the red/green wires, where the yellow/black used to be.

OR, you need to swap the orange and the blue wires.

Red line

Once in the Didigtal Array screen, can you move the red in that corner horizontally and vertically? You should be able to do this with the remote control, no special tools needed for this model. If you can't move it then you will need to replace your convergence output IC's they are location numbers IK04 and IK05 and are usually generic part numbers STK392-110.
