Hello -- My fan seems like its going to die. Making weird noises -- not turning smoothly as before. Seems like it is hanging and making a grinding noise. I have a Sony Vaio VGN-SZ430N Model. Any help? Can you tell me what type of fan is needed for replacement?
Thanks

Check front tyres & wheel bearings espesially the R/H/F. Feel tyre for high / low spots on inside & jack up & spin wheel if you get noise while jacked up it is not the tyres but wheel bearing or brake pads but more than likly a crook bearing by the sound of it. It needs to be tended to ASAP
more than likely the pump is the part that is making the noise. You can verify this by leaning the machine back where you can see the pulleys, your pump will be the one in the back. Remove the belt and each pulley should turn smoothly. The part number for the pump is 35-6780
Could be your bearing are going bad on your indoor fan but you only hear the sound when you turn it. Could also be something hanging behind it and it only hits the fan when you turn it on high and it pulls it into the fan blades.
If you are experiencing grinding noises and a power loss, I would look more to the power train and related components. Transmission, wheel bearing, brakes hanging.
With the engine off, I would push the bike slowly to determine if you are able to detect a grinding noise and if there is any resistence when pushing it.

You are seriously frozen up. Defrost the unit completely. Then, be aware that 'window shopping', leaving uncovered liquids in the box and poor door sealing (too heavy a load on the door ... too much on shelves) can cause condensation. Defrost with hot air or leave unplugged and open for about 2 days. You'll see alot of water come out.
