Question about NEC Televison & Video

I have purchased a Nu-Tec NUE1958 18.5" tv and would like to know how to use a USB with it. plugged it in, went to PC in options and it came up as No Signal. what can i do to watch what i have on the USB?

It's only used to download software, maybe try reading the manual sometime. :)

In the past 6 months I bought a Nu-Tec 32" which I have problems with signal and very hard to get channels...last week I purchased a 26" with DVD inbuilt...1hrs use for dvd as same tunning problem as 32"...while trying to get signal with antenne the whole unit just died...no power, nothing...returning to coles and won't look at another NU-TEC again...

Just buy one universal remote control, which have setup codes for your brand combo. You can get this detail by the code list accompanied with the remote control. Brand isn't matter.

I have A problem connecting USB to a Nu-Tec TV 1958 18.5.

As suggested by Geoff I called the help centre. They informed that the usb input for the 18.5" model is not for hdd input, that it is for technicians to add firmware updates etc

Universal One-For-All Remotes actually have a website that you can get the codes from! I have this same remote & just googled it.

i had same prob untill i pluged it into a wall antana went auto setup australia DTV only and i got 7, 73 ,70, 71 , 90, 99,9,10,1,11, when pluged into a portable tv antana i lost 7, 73 ,70, 71 so that how i fixed my problem

Brought a Coles $259 Nu-tec DVD/Tv combo got it home and set it up with a indoor digital antener. all works but I can't get any channel 9 stations no matter how many times I rescan channels?

Nu-Tec TV/DVD Combo

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. Otherwise, it won't go. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Before replacing it, try a reset to this set, and then check.
There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. If you want to make it a system reset [Factory Reset]; you have to enter its service mode option, and select the factory reset option. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here.
