My Epson Stylus CX3600 printer refused to print cyan and yellow despite changing new cartridge and nozzle cleaned several times.
The Magenta and Black work perfect.
Thanks

Start out by running a "nozzle check" in the printer setup screens. If the cyan isn't printing a full pattern, then do a "clean" pass, up to 3 times. If three times doesn't fix the missing color pattern, it's possible that the cart is defective, and isn't flowing ink.
IIf the cartridges is original epson there is some color (light magenta that is clogged.
if the cartridges is non original check that is with the right order
1. New original ink tank will dried for several times of head cleaning procedure.
. ....ran a nozzle check and cleaned print heads because it wasn't printing any ink on the paper.... ??? Nothing at all? If yes, problem is in the printer main board. Lost electricity to the head.
This is to do with the way in which the cyan, magenta, yellow and black ink is mixed to produce all the colours e.g. to print "red" requires both magenta and yellow ink. Thus, if the magenta ink is not flowing for some reason, for example, the "red" will print out as yellow. So, make sure all your cartridges and nozzles are working properly.

The colours in the 3 colour cartridges are cyan, magenta and yellow. If you want to print "red", this requires a mixture of magenta and yellow. Thus if only yellow is printed when you should be printing red, it means the magenta is not printing i.e. faulty/empty magenta cartridge or faulty/blocked magenta nozzles.

Print first a nozzle check pattern, self test which they say. Check your manual for your printer, it should be accessible from that if you dont have any manual, go to the epson website and download a manual. Usually the self test would go like this.
While the printer is turned off, you press and hold down the paper feed button, continue holding it down while turning on the printer. It will print the nozzle check pattern standalone. If you see all the colors then the issue your having is a color management issue, if you do not see the cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light magenta and light cyan from that test; then you will need to do 3 consecutive times of Head Cleaning from the maintenance program in your computer. If you have a windows xp it goes like this.
Click on start go to control panel - printers and faxes - you right click on your printer icon and select printing prefrences. From there, go to maintenance tab and click head cleaning, go through that cycle 3 consecutive times and see if it improved. Good luck....
i had to run 10 cleaning to get a printer to print magenta. finally it cleaned it self..it gets expensive..leaving your printer on keeps the in nozzles clean..when its off for long periods it dries in the nozzles.
mine wont do black or magenta
