My lg studioworks 45v started adjusting brightness automatically. This problem is sporadic, the brightness either increase or decrease on its own. If you try to correct the brightness level using buttons they is slow response other than that everything is fine. Whats the problem?

To help you change the brightness and contrast settings from the LCD monitor, please follow the instructions mentioned below,
The control buttons are located at front panel of the monitor. The Brightness Button is used to select the Brightness/Contrast adjust functions. Press to switch functions or adjust settings.
To decrease the brightness or contrast press (-) button & to increase (+) as per your adjustment.

i need to know what operating system you use this will work for only Vista and 7 and 8 and 8.1

It's time to RESPONSIBLY RECYCLE any 17-inch CRT monitor, and buy a LCD monitor;
used LCD monitors can be purchased for under $50.

It would cost you over $50 to take the CRT to a TV/Video repair shop, for trouble-shooting and repair.

You need to decrease the brightness of your screen by using the buttons on you LG monitor. Push the menu button and then navigate to and select brightness. Now use the left or right arrows to either increase or decrease the brightness.

Laptops are provided with a combination key that can increase and decrease brightness. Find on your keyboard 2 keys with a bulb and an arrow key. Mostly you'll have something like a sun. Hold down your FN key (near your left ctrl key) and press one of those keys depending on whether you want to increase or decrease brightness. In Dell the keys will the arrows keys themselves

this is because some dust might have gone inside your monitor so only you are getting this problem..... If you just remove it. It will work fine..

There should be a button with the book sign. Hold it pressed for 5 seconds.

As with any display best settings are up to the user.

Some general rules about adjustment of a video display device apply

1. if the display is too bright you would decrease brightness by turning it down
2. if the display is too dark you would increase brightness by turning it up

If a display is too bright it will shorten it's life span so you want to keep the brightness down


Contrast must also be adjusted in the same manor

You should increase color saturation to suit your self

Increasing the color saturation too much will decrease the life of the display and look ugly
so you want to add just enough color to satisfy your taste.

hai dear, this problem is related s.m.p.s. section. so you can redry soldring at s.m.p.s. section and i hope this problem will solve

on the front of the monitor there are key buttons naming menu, ok button and left & right arrow marks buttons first press menu button then go to brightness then by using arrow keys you can increase & decrease the brightness once you are finished decreasing r increasing press ok button.& there are many other settings you can change like contrast etc....
