Hi,
I replaced the HV board and programmed the code. The blinking lights and door flapping problem has been solved But the fridge is still not cooling properly with no ice or cold water. Could you please help.
Thanks,
David R

Billy, your HV control board has failed. (I know this because I serviced one just last week for the same symptoms and promptly diagnosed and repaired it.) The board can be accessed from the back of the fridge. Roll it out from the wall and look about 2 feet up from the floor on the left hand side. You'll see the cover held in place by 4 1/4" screws. Remove 3 and loosen the last one, rotate the panel out of your way. The board is a snap to remove and replace. The part number you will need is #12920710 and is available at your local appliance parts retailer. It lists for ~$150.00. The kit DOES come with instructions to program it once the repair is complete. Read these completely BEFORE doing the repair so you'll know what to do when you've got it back online.

Possibly the water valve (also known as a solenoid valve) on the back of of your refeer has gone ka-put. It is easy to find and spot. The water line from your source (out of the wall) goes to this valve. If it is not operating, you will get no water supply thru that line into your dispenser or your ice-maker unit. No water in means no water and no ice out. This is a pretty simple fix you can do yourself. The part is reasonably priced. Get the model number of your refrigerator off the door and contact your local distributor for your brand. Make sure you turn your water off at the wall, or house, before you start taking that plumbing line apart. Otherwise, get yourself a surfboard and lay in a good supply of paper towels. Take your time and unplug your unit from the wall to be on the safe side...

I concur with calling Maytag. I'm on the phone with one of their reps now and he's overnighting a new PCB free of charge. Installation is free too.
