Audio wiring problem on HP Compaq DC7100 CMT with DC7700 motherboard

You have a problem with HP connectivity. When I moved my dx7100 motherbard into another casing I experienced that error and also chassis fan not detected error. Chassis fan error is easy to remove, You only need a fan with at least 3 cables (with sensor) and plug it into 4 pin chassis fan connector. Audio conector have 10 pins (eight pin missing for orientation (with followed numerication
2 4 6 10
1 3 5 7 9
If you only want to get rid of the error ( with no use of back audio(use of another soundcard)) then short pins 2 and 7. But if you want to use back connectors, then you must bridge with jumpers 1-3 for microfone, 5-6 for audio L and 9-10 for audio R.
I've bee searched thru internet and didn't find this trick anywere.

Sounds like the motherboard burnt out partially. How is your internet connected to the computer, through a usb port or other port?

Wont boot up with out hitting F1

check inside the case to see that nothing bad has happened to the cables connecting these items, also check the usb ports for any damage,go into device manager and search for new hardware,it may find them and install what it needs ,if all else fails, you might need to go get a bios upgrade , this may fix the problem.
after that and still have the problem, its most likely the motherboard

good luck
