I quick formatted my player ... and now when i upload songs into it...nd then turn on the player it says no music files. please help !

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.

First check if your songs are on the .mp3 format. If you loaded the songs from your computer, check the file name and see if it ends in .mp3. Some MP3 players do not support other music file types. Check the manual or packaging of the mp3 player to see the supported formats. The formats can easily be seen at the end of the file name. Remove the songs from your mp3 player then upload them again in your player.

What format are the songs you are trying to upload onto the player? They must be in MP3 or WMA format. If you uploaded them from itunes please go to the Intova website www.intova.net and click support/manuals tab for instructions on how to convert your songs to the proper MP3 format. The following may help:
1) Ensure that your Music files are of the correct format (usually .MP3 or .WMA suffix and usually NOT .WAV which is the standard CD format) 2) Ensure that you upload your music .MP3 or .WMA files to the correct directory and names are not excessively long as some MP3 will limit the max name length. If you know a working song on your MP3, locate the directory it resides in and put your songs there. 3) If you have uploaded your songs with the correct naming convention/suffix and you now see them in your player list but they will not play, then your MP3/WMA file has non-compatible 'property' whcih is usually the encoding 'bit rate' (usually anything under 128mbps fix rate is good but you can see what is acceptable by looking at the 'properties' of your working songs that are on your MP3 player) ps. To reformat your Music files to the player acceptabel format, you need to download and use a 'Audio Media Converter'.

connect it to pc their u can check songs and remove unwanted songs otherwise format the drive which appears nd copy paste new songs....

Check whether the file format is mp3 or wma and also try changing your XP service pack and then try transferring files or Use winamp ( Newest version ) to transfer your files ..hope it helps

HELP ME

Drivers required only for Win98. Other versions on Windows have drivers installed. Plug usb cord into PC and into Missil Player. Open my computer, removable disk which is the Missil player) and file where desired music is. Drag music from storage file to "removable disk in "my computer". Treat it as a hard drive copy to, delete or format. To continue playing where you left off when restarting, hold off/pause button down for 3 seconds before shutting off.

Well first of all, all music purchased from iTunes is in mp4 format, not mp3. You will have to convert you music to mp3 format for it to work. The retail version of nero, works well for that. Another option is to burn your music to cd, then reimport it into your music library, from the cd, as mp3. You'll have to change some setting though if you go that route.

Have you tried formatting the mp3 player?
If not, try this:

The mp3 player way for formatting:
By formatting on the mp3 player, it has be on either pause or stop button. Play button will not open the Initialize menu.
So go to menu, settings, scroll down to Initialize, and then click format. It should say OK?
click yes.
A quick Format done screen should pop up.

The computer way is much longer but cleaner.
Go to my computer.
Right click the removable disk (or it would say whatever you named it to be)
and click format.
A screen should come up with some info like capacity and File system.
Forget all that and click Start.
It should probably take 2 minutes.
Then try it once more.

Okay, after it's done formatting, go to Sonicstage and click the Transfer button. After a few moments it should recognize the mp3 player and display the memory.

If it says something way below 400MB, then you have a big problem. However, anything higher than 470MB is correct.

Now Sony say 345 songs and they are correct...that only if you use their conversion tool, which is in the transfer bar. You would have to convert all your songs into their ATRAC 3 form, and that usually takes about 1 Hr for at least 200 songs. (yea I know) But that's the only way you can stuff 345 songs into it.
I almost filled it to 350, but it was on 64 KBPs for their ATRAC3. Sound quality was not bad, but it wasn't that great.
