I had a similar problem and got a TV repair man to fix it for real cheap. The whole fixing took less then 30 min and he goes to your house to fix the TV. Does the screen light up? You need to provide more info. The fix for this would be complicated for the average person. You could trash the system by opening it and not knowing what you are doing. Most likely the screen needs replaced. Google for a local repair person as in "video game ds repair columbus ohio - or what city you live in.
