    Computer does not recognize mp3 player. What do I do?

    any of my computers at home or office not recognizing the mp3, not work with xp, vista works sometimes. Does somebody have a real solution?

    The comuter does not recognize device and cannot create a driver? I have used my Apple iPod and it works fine on the computer, but this one will not. Also, I have Windows XP.

I think there might be something wrong with the product itself. I have no problem with mine. I use win xp and just plug mine into usb and I see the drive come up right away.

TURNS OUT THIS MP3 PLAYER HAS BEEN LOADED WITH AN XP PROGRAM. IT WILL NOT WORK WITH VISTA.

Just got a trutech. I have tried plugging the usb in on several computers and each time I get the same message that windows does not recognize the device. I have tried changing usb chords as well.

USB Port Not Recognized

Here Two Reason for USB Port Not Recognized:

1. Check you USB cable properly connected to the you computer, If cable break or not connected properly, It will show your cable not recognized.

2. If again these problem shows. go to,
My Computer - right click - Properties - Hardware - Device Manager - and Unistall you USB drivers - then again scan new hardware.

if u have the software, and the usb dont recognize your mp3 device. most probably the problem is in you usb drive or usb connector.

to gabby, some computer may not even recognize mp3 player from a removable disk, i would suggest that your mp3 player will serve as a back up...
tranfer all your music to a folder to a fixed drive like drive c: then change the format w/c suits for your pc's media player compatibility like mp3 formats then, after your done transfer again all your songs to your back up mp3, or better yet scan all your music w/ an anti virus like kaspersky, hope this would help

Comp not recognizing mp3 device

Try a different usb port first, then try another computer (with a compatible OS, of course). If another computer will not recognize it, then the player is actually damaged.
