What happens when you press the on button? Please use a different power cable and/or data cable and see what happens. If it persists, you have to get another monitor.

I have a Trulink VGA 4 port KVM switch. Has worked fine for a year plus. Just moved it to a new room, and reconnected the same computers to the switch using a new monitor. I can't get the monitor to work....

Maybe the switch doesn't support the type of monitor that you are trying to use. Have you tried switching back to the old monitor to see if that one still works?

My screen just stopped working and I have a rectangular box floating around in a counterclockwise rotation that says " Check cable signal " Do you have any ideas? It was working fine up...

that means your monitor is working fine, just check your video connection on both ends of the monitor and PC.

maybe your PC has two video cards, try to plug in another video connector

Tried installing samsung syncmaster monitor and get and error message check signal cable dialgoue and can't do anything, previous monitor works fine

Does the new monitor work correctly when installed to some other computer (notebook or desktop) ? If it, you have a "dud" that should be replaced, under warranty.

Try changing the data-cable between the monitor and your computer.

Power on/off

Hi, Try using another outlet.
Does your AC power cord have any indicator lights which is why you know the power cable works fine?
Base on your assessment, I would say the power supply board on the monitor needs to be replaced.
Thanks,
Mike H.

1.What I need you to test is...When laptop monitor go grey try plug external monitor and see that it work fine or not ??
2.Incase it work fine try to give a little tap behinde the laptop monitor and see that any changes...keep try and harder and see

3.Incase if you gave a hard tap also and its still the same but external monitor work fine then....I think you have problem with your LCD monitor coz there are chips that control the LCD crystal and maybe when it goes hot it behave this way....in this case you can't change the chip...you have to change the LCD.

Green Flash power only on one computer

It sounds like the monitor functions properly and your computer functions properly, but the combination causes a problem. Try making sure the screen resolution on your main computer is set to an acceptable resolution for your monitor - AL1916. Try setting it low to 800x600 and move up from there until it doesn't work anymore. You can change the screen resolution from the Display Settings (right click on the desktop and select Display Settings) window.
