I have fixed over 500 headphones. Its the plug that connects to audio devices.
Take a look at it http://images.appleinsider.com/ipodiphoneav-review-5.jpg

Look at the Standard stereo headphone. When you plug it and unplug it from your audio/music device,
the little 3 or 4 wires disconnect. The smaller the headphone, the more chance this will happen.
To revive your headphone, you have to cut it and re solder the wires to the plug.
follow this step because I don't know how to explain it to you and make you understand it.

It generally happens when the wires from the input jack get broken/disconnected when too much of head adjustments are being done. You can check the connections in the jack. If they are OK then you have to show it to a technician to open the speaker. The wiring is complicated which you will ot be able to understand unless you have dealt with speakers earlier.

SOURCE: The sound coming from my right bose on-ear headphones

i think ur headphone wires or its pin at end will be defective..
99%there is no chance of failures in speakers ..
try to replace ur headphone cable with new cable.
just solder the cable with speaker inline pins..

No sound on the left side

There are two ways that can happen...either the plug part is damaged and cannot connect correctly to the device in the jack and is only able to recieve the right side audio or, the left side speaker is blown...

You may just have to buy new headphones.

Trying to reconnect right side of my bose

soldering would do the job but... if its dead, I suggest leaving it dead. if its wire damage, there is very little to what you can do. perhaps you should consider a new one.

Bose Headphones only works on left side.

Have same problem. Play with the plug in the socket. I'll bet it you can occasionally get both working. Not a solution since it probably won't stay working. I have an old plug and it fails too. I'm afraid they did't make their plugs to the right tolerances. Used to work once. Annoying for this expensive a headphone.

Less sound on one ear than the other

Yeah, based on all of your problems, i would safely say that you have a blown speaker. Call up Bose at 1-800-999-2673. If the headphones are under warranty (1 year) they will replace them for free. If now, they will charge you $100 for a replacement pair, which is quite a deal considering that the headphones cost $300.
