Hi, you didn't specify what kind of printer you're having trouble with but I figured this might be an HP printer because I've had this same issue before. With this kind of issue, you must access the solution center and go to Settings, click Scan to Options and make sure that you transfer all the items on the left side to the right. Once done click on Update Device so the message will be sent to the printer.
There is a 'white paper' available on HP's website
that specifically addresses this error message. I'm providing the link

Please read it and maybe print it out for reference... it explains what
you need to do and THE ORDER you need to do it in. This should solve
your issue...
