Im sorry to be the one to say it, but the phone is gone. i dropped mine in the ocean once and i tried cleansing the phone with distilled water, and then i heated it in the oven (on the lowest setting) to get all the moisture out, i even took out the data chip and tried to hook it up to my computer, but the data was corrupted. Sorry.

It most likely is dead. Whenever this happens you should immediately remove the battery. If that is not possible turn the phone off. From there, letting the phone dry by putting it in a Ziploc bag with rice for several days sometimes will fix the phone.
I once dropped mine in a pool. I popped the battery off, dried it out with the rice method and tried to get it working again. It did not work until I replaced the battery but the phone was fine after that.
The phone is designed to only hold a 2gb card. this is because a 4gb card uses high density memory the phone software can't read. There is a hack out there that I learned about at heliocity.net but it did not work for me.
