I cannot remove the flat mixing blade, after mixing cake. It has never happened before, just doesn't move up down or sideways! it seems completely locked.

The blade sounds like it's jammed somehow perhaps simply with some food matter.
Ensure the mixer is not plugged in then try removing the bowl, locking the mixer in the down position and pushing up hard on the blade to try and dislodge it. If it comes free and lifts up then try wiggling and rotating it normally off the mount.
Sometimes with use the attachments can become slightly warped requiring more force to lift them before rotating off the mount.
I once used my own Kitchen Aid mixer with the dough hook attachment to make a whole wheat bread dough. When I was done the hook was a bit bent from the hearty dough. There was also some flour in the mount causing it to jam. Removing the hook attachment proved difficult but not imposable.
Good luck.

Beater is stuck

I had this happen on my Kitchen Aid mixer. There is probably a build up of dough/cake mix etc inside the hole where the beater fits into. Fill a mixing bowl or a jug deep enough to fit over beater with very hot or boiling water. Immerse the stuck beater in the water up to where it connects in to the mixer and hold for about minute. Once the hot water has melted the build up you should be able to remove the beater. Hopefully this may work on your brand of mixer.

I have a new kitchenaid mixer and both times i've used it the cake did'nt come out right, it was bland and it fell apart and that never happened before. what did I do wrong?

It could be that your over mixing the batter. It is very easy with a KitchenAid to push a batter too far, and you get too much air, or cream the butter too much into the flour, or press all the oil out of peanut butter. Try using the mixer for only as much to get the matter mixed.

There should be a small lever on the base in front of and below the bowl. It will move to 2 positions. It sounds like you have it set for the small bowl but are using the large bowl. Press down on the lever and move it to the other side. If I'm right, that should correct the problem.

splash a little water where it comes apart. Water will lube and soften anything holding the attachment. make sure it's unplugged so you don't lose a finger or twoOr pour a few drops of cooking oil on the button and let it run down the sides into the mechabism. good luck

Kitchenaid artisan mixer does not turn the blade at low speeds

If it is the worm gear then the planetary will stop turning when there is a load on the paddle but the motor will continue to run at the speed you set it at. I'd be checking the carbon brushes, checking that the field assembly has not loosened up a bit and then I would see if the speed control plate adjustment screws are loose. I'd then reset the speed and see if it stays as it should be.

Mixer turns on but the beater doesn't rotate

Remove the metalic ring around the mixing head. Push down on it with a flat head screwdriver...
Remove the pin from the mix shaft.
Pull down on the mixer head. Inspect the gears.
If nothing wrong here, disassemble completely and inspect drive gears. Something is broke and needs replaced. You need to find it first, then take that broken part to the dealer to get a new one. Good luck
