I think your ipod is dead. This happened to me to. I was listening to it when I arrived at my destination, and I thought I turned it off and I put it in my pocket. Later that day when I went to listen to it, it wouldn't turn on at all. Aparently, it had stayed on. Hold the pause button for five to ten seconds. The apple symbol will appear on your ipod. Immeadility put it in your docking station before it goes away. Your ipod will turn on, and itwill start charging.

I hope this helps. Please rate my solution.

Ipod touch 3g has a white screen - any way to bring it back up?

Hi mickhon...
White Screen of Death

This is probably caused by not allowing the firmware update to finish the installation before disconnecting the iPod.
Try these steps.
Reset the iPod:
1.Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
2.Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons for 10 seconds (until the Apple logo appears).
3.You may need to repeat the reset several times.
If the reset doesn't help, then put the iPod into forced disk mode.
Put iPod into Disk Mode:
Apple suggests that you ensure your iPod is charged before following
the next step. How exactly you check a charge on an iPod screen that
is completely white has yet to be revealed. But hey, give it a shot
anyway. Plug the iPod into a high-powered USB port, let it sit for 2 hours, then disconnect it. If you have a wall charger, plug in the iPod, then follow these steps while it is still plugged in.
1.Turn the Hold switch on, then back to off.
2.Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons until the Apple logo appears
3.Immediately switch your figures to press and hold the Select and the Play/Pause buttons until "Disk Mode" appears at the top.
For a lot of people, this solves the problem. Connect the iPod to the computer and (assuming it shows up) reset the iPod again to get it out of Disk Mode.
If at this point you still have the white screen,
restore the iPod using the restore function in iTunes under the Summary tab (this will erase everything on the iPod and put it at factory
settings).
Don't disconnect or eject the iPod until the store is totally done.
After you think it's done, wait another five minutes.

Ipod won't turn on

Plug your Itouch into your PC. Hold down both the on/off button at the top and the menu button (center of unit below screen) for 15-30 seconds. You should see the Apple sign come on and your unit is rebooting. Worked for mine

Doesnt turn on.

This same thing happened to me. I was playing fantastic contraption and my ipod screen just went black and wouldnt turn back on. When I plugged it in to a charger, it made that charging noise, but wouldnt turn on. SOLUTION: try holding in the sleep/wake(power) button, and the home button at the same time for about 15 seconds or until you see the white apple logo. That worked for me, hope you get it fixed.

Ipod nanao 2 gb problem

Have you tried plugging it into your computer and restoring the programming? Also, you can try pressing the menu and the center button at the same time for 10 seconds. It should go black (turn off) and then turn back on with the Apple logo. If this doesn't fix your problem, you got something wrong with the hardware, not software.

Ipod 30 gb next gen.nothing but a black screen

Hi,
I would suspect either a bad screen, or a bad battery. Can you hear the hard drive turning? Put it next to your ear and see if you hear a whirling sound. If you can hear that, then your screen is gone and needs to be replaced.

Try plugging it into a wall charger. If it comes on then it is the battery. The computer often does not have enough power to make it light up if the battery is really bad. Hope that helps.

Apple iPod shuffle MP3 (2nd generation)

It could be a few things.

1, The Charger is bad
2. The battery is completely dead
3. There is an internal malfunction that would require factory service.

While this may not help try plugging the charger into another computers USB port and dock it to see if anything happens.

Need help

1. Have you tried charging your Ipod from another source other than the computer? Maybe a car charger for an Ipod or a kind that can be plugged into the wall. Ipod chargers are very inexpensive.
2. If that doesn't work try rebooting your Ipod with your Ipod program you were given to manage your Ipod.

3. Make sure that when downloading songs that they are Ipod compatible, meaning that they are mp3 ready. Before downloading a song you should be able to see the credentials the song has for downloading. Most of the time if the format cannot be changed to being mp3 ready, most likely the song won't convert to your ipod.

8 GB Ipod Nano went dead and now won't charge

does it work on the charger? if not, then contact apple or your dealer for more assistance or repairs.

If it works on the charger, plays music and so on, your battery is probably dead and you need a new one.
