2003 chevrolet venture rear wiper motor.
I just replaced the wiper motor and the wiper blade does not touch the window on the upper quarter when the blade arm is vertical. suggestions?
There is a sliding lock on the wiper arm itself. This sliding lock is just below the pivit point of the arm. Its flat and all you need to do is lift the wiper arm to its max and then slide this lock back into the arm. There is a sliding lock on the wiper arm itself. The wiper arm springs are weak, just grab a used set of arms as most ventures wipe great.People who stick their wipers straight up,usually when freezing rain is coming ,ruin their wiper arm springs and have less wiping pressure too, so have to replace their arms at some point. PEOPLE STOP LEAVING YOUR ARMS IN THE UP IN THE AIR,OFF THE GLASS POSITION.
The wiper linkage and blades should be in the neutral position, or where they would normally lie when in the "off" position. Hope this helps. Remember to disconnect the battery while replacing electrical components.
Good day, if you can hear a pulsating buzz coming from the wiper motor, you probably have a grounding problem. If you do a fixya search for 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe, then at bottom of page under how tos I have a tip to fix rear wiper. If Chevrolet used that same wiper motor on your car, maybe it will fix yours too. Since it is a different model removal of panels to get wiper motor access will be different, then connect a wire from wiper motor frame to a good chassis ground. Good luck.
I went to Jiffy Lube, and they did something free that made mine work again. Granted I rarely use it anyway(I'm in the desert), but so far, so good. No idea what they did, but it can't have been very difficult.
