The screen of the radio where the code is entered is broken, so i cant play the radio. advice me on whether to buy a new one or fix it and what will be the cost?
Hi, what radio model have you got in your car ?
I have a few old units with good screens & they should be easy enough to fit.
Well a lot easier than a fitting a screen to a mobile phone, though you will need small Torx screw drivers.

The code is set unique for each radio, as it is installed. It is then supposed to be written down in the owner's manual. But if it was not, then anyone selling that brand of radio and reset it to a new code that they can tell you. For example, if it is a Blaupunkt radio, then a Mercedes, VW, or even Best Buy store could help you. But no one here can, because even someone with the same year and model car and radio, would have a different code.

try puling the fuse out of the back of the radio and then letting it sit for an hour then you have to push a sequance of buttons to put the radio code in so it will unlock
Try pressing the "mode" button, or find a button that causes the screen to clear it's message. then use either the preset radio numbers or the seek arrows to select number to enter your code. Once your done press the same button. This is how my brothers car worked. We ended up having to play with it for a while but we eventually got it.
Okay here are your radio options. Audi will charge about $125 to extract the code from the radio but you may try this first 1. Look in the owners manual. If the car has the original packet with the owners manual and other pamphlets, it is likely that the dealer wrote the code down and put it in there in the glove box. 2. Audi puts the 4 digit radio code on a sticker in the spare tire compartment in the truck. It is a four digit code that will begin with 1 or 0. 3. Audi will use the code 1111 as a default code on rebuilt or replaced radios. try that first. 4. still no luck.... go to the dealer and pay the $125 and have them extract it.
