Hi Gail Muster - Unfortunately from my research for this particular model it is not possible to open the cook-top without a certified service tech.

To download and view the Owner's Manual with operating instructions, just click on the SUPPORT button on the right hand side of the main support page when you get there.

Then click on the ENGLISH button under DOCUMENTS - RANGES MANUAL.

When it asks you if you want to open or save the document, select SAVE and then choose a place on your computer to save it like the DESKTOP so you can find it easily later.

When the download completes, click OPEN, and then you can view the contents of the manual.

Most ovens are preset from the factory. They are usually off a few degrees. This varies from house to house depending on the exact voltage in our home. This has an effect on how the control board reads the temperature sensor. This will require you to dial in the temperature to match the display on the control. Most ovens can be calibrated. Actually my son fixed it. The button on the face frame when the door is open, isn't just for the interior light. My son held it in and the oven latch slowly moved back to the open position. Thanks anyway
