Instead of re-installing the Operating System you can do an Operating System repair. Boot to the Windows Operating System installer disc,. If you have XP, boot to the XP installer disc then enter the setup program. There will be an option that says "Press R to Repair Computer". Press letter R then let the setup finish. For Vista/7, boot to the installed disc then select "Startup Repair" This will repair all corrupted Windows file and will keep your data intact,
When does this problem occur.
When you are on manual ? I have this problem on manual and then i sometimes press button nr5 (see manual) by accident this results in an error and the zip zip noise. i covered the button so i can't push it by accident. and the problem no longer excists.
Hi, insert your windows cd into the notebook and restart. It should give you a message like this: Please press any key to start windows setup, or start windows installation. Or anything like that. Press any key and installatiomn will begin. In one point, the installer finds your existing windows installation and asks you if you want to repair or install a new windows. Do not do a repair, instead install it new. Then it asks you for your drive, where you want it installed. It then gives you the option to format, format quickly or leave your drive intact. Select format and off you go :-)
MMC Format...well, "formatting" means to basically clear. So you cleared your data off of your phone's memory. Careful not to press format in the future. ;)
you may try a program like the Sandisk Rescue Pro to retrieve your pictures (not free) formatting erases all data on your camera..it is not possible to retreive your pictures without a program like this
