if you are getting prompt, "This computer <Service tag number>-595B is password protected ..... you'll need to call Dell technical support to get the master password generated to clear the message. There is no hardware way to clear the password short of replacing the motherboard. Same applies for a BIOS level Hard Drive Password.

You're probably referring to a BIOS/CMOS password - a password that you need to enter before your laptop will even begin to start the operating system (DOS/Windows/Linux, etc).
you can sometimes clear the password by setting a jumper
Another option is to remove the BIOS battery, unplug the power supply from the wall, and let the CMOS "forget" it's settings.

Find the service tag on the bottom of your laptop, and go to
www.bios-unlock.com you can get a password that will allow you to change the pw or disable this feature. Worked for me.

If you can find the cmos battery for the laptop, removing this overnight and replacing should clear the bios password.

Dear there are three pwd pin on motherboard first you set configration mode 12 then you start you system go into bois setup there is option clear password.click it.f10 save and exit. after doing this now put normal mode pin setting.
now your passward is broken.

on a laptop computer the location of the dipswitch (almost never a jumper) can be under the keyboard or on the bottom of the laptop in a compartment such as the memory compartment.

Alternatively you can locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard a remove it for at least 10mins allowing the computer to lose all of its information but please not that this does not work on all computers
