I purchased the jl500/5 but I cant get any sound out of the channels the green power light comes on but no sound I bought the amp off ebay and it didn't have the bottom lid.the seller said it worked but he ripped me off I wanted to know if it's repairable and what can I do

Sounds exactly like a failing power supply. Hopefully you bought an extended warranty when you purchased the computer. You should look into having the PSU replaced.

It sounds like the output stage of the amp bad . I would send it back sounds defective to me. good luck

I had the same problem. all the service reset would only make the display come on for a few second with no "k" on the screen - only the channel would show up. I purchased a complete set of board for the lcd on ebay, and started swapping them one by one. The inverter boards were the culpret. Tele working 100% since that board swap.

yes you have a internal fault of the amp. the circuit that puts it into safe mode is bad and that is a very small chip on the board know as a op amp. needs to be repaired.

check you signal going to the amp and rca;;s

make sure your speakers are connected correctly if subs and are inside the box then check connections also at times the rca at the back of the head unit can disconnect. if power light is on then error is either speakers not connected correctly, rca faulty or not connected or speaker output on amp is blown
