Touch Pad can be disabled on two different ways. The first one is using
FN+F9 key combination or using DISABLE option in mouse properties in control panel
I followed the advice of pressing the FN and F7 keys at the same time. It didn't work when the program was fully loaded, but I rebooted and tried again during the rebooting and it worked. I had the frozen cursor on the Travel Mate (Acer) also.
