Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV

Capacitor help. Hi there, I ordered a replacement kit of the capacitors for my Mitsubishi WD-52525 52 inches when trying to uninstall one of the ones that blew out, the attachments to the bottom of it, stayed stuck on it, as it broke off while trying to pull it up. How can I fix this problem. I have one more to go, but I will not move forward until I know how to properly remove the capacitor in one piece. I would truly appreciate all and any help you can give me. Sincerely, a stay a home mom, thanks in advance.

Hi there, I was not sure how to unsolder the capacitor, but after googling it, I read I can go to Radio S. and buy such tool. So I will continue with the removal and replacement job tomorrow once I get the unsoldering tool, thanks again.

Just unsolder the ends of that capacitor and the board will be marked so you can install the replacement capacitor with the correct polarity.

Yes it cost 14.00 and it has a red rubber bulb on it that you squeeze to **** up the old solder. It makes the job very easy.

thats a good site they kit is cheap and they even include the service manual, so its a good deal instead of paying a arm and leg for a repair shop.Congratulations on a job well done.

Mitsubishi green blinking light of death

Hi Jim,

Green blinking light of death on Mitsubishi DLP TV means that the DM failed to booted up. I would advice you to replaced the 7 1000uf electrolytic capacitor on the DM board. Most of the time it fixed the symptoms. Please inquire at if they have an available DM repair kit for V36 chassis (WD-57733 chassis).

you didnt mention which two boards you replaced the caps on however each board in the chassis has the same capacitor issue. Sounds like you need either of the four V26 Repair kits. The FMT repair kit, The signal Repair kit, The Terminal 1 or the terminal 2 repair kit

Lamp light (lite the color red)

Chances are its the bad capacitor issue on the power pwb, These symptoms will mimic a bad ballast. You can get a repair kit for the V26 PWB PCB at the following link which contains the replacement capacitors and a CD which identifies the board and capacitor location that needs the capacitors changed and also contains the Service manual on that CD, and the entire kit costt less than just the service manual anywhere else. They have free tech support to help you with the repair as well. Heres the link the kits are listed under the repair kit catagory.
