Hi I have a 2tb ext hard drive which was working fine on my soniq tv. Somehow the tv formatted/reformatted the hard drive and now none of the files work.. can't even read any of the file headings as they...

The file database on the hard drive is probably corrupted. (Formatting would have wiped out the database completely.)You would need to find a compatible disc utility to repair the database. If the computer to which you connect the drive is able to write to the drive, its disk utility program will probably work.

You can probably identify the file system on the hard drive by getting volume info (part of "Properties") in a file browser window. For more information on file system compatibility, see the article linked below.

When I restart my laptop to my HD crashes when windows starts to start, she took the laptop outside and put on another laptop to back up, but when it starts copying, the screen goes blue and restarts...

You will have to take the drive off, put it on an external hdd enclosure with a usb connection, connect it to a working computer, scan it for viruses and spyware, copy all of your data to another device (i.e. hdd, flashdisk, cd, etc). Then, reinstall the hd back on to the original computer and turn it on. If it works it you've solved your problem. If it doesn't then reformat your hdd, reinstall your operating system, programs, and data.
Time consuming? yes but it works.

My external element was working fine one day and now neither the laptop or computer will recognise it and when we plug it directly into the USB port in the TV in registers but says it is empty.Very...

The drive may have encountered a safe power off problem. There are several things to try. In My Computer, click on Tools/Map Network Drive and see if you're able to assign the external drive a new letter. If successful, you should be all set, if not the drive may need to be reformatted. Prior to reformatting, you can recover your data. Click on the link below:
Date Recovery this link is a freeware program that is designed to recover lost data or data not recognized by your computer. Once installed, you should see the external drive and be able to recover the data. Once all the data is recovered, you are free to reformat the drive to make it recognizable by your machine again. Best of luck.

I deleted date from Olympus VN-4100PC

When the Digital Wave Player application copies the files to yourcomputer, the default location is under My Documents>Digital WavePlayer>Message. There, you will see FolderA, FolderB, etc. +Recording & Schedule folders.

If the files are not there, use a file recovery application, such as PhotoRec to recover the deleted files.
