My CD player was dead when I bought the car. I took out the CD player and it turns out that it doesn't have a fuse on the back of it like most players.
I went out and bought a wiring harness and a new CD player and it works perfect. I guess the factory CD player can blow easy.

Radio not working

there are 3 power sources to radio. if stock, if not stock more.
Radio power.
memory power
and dial lamp power. (dimmer)

why not use a voltmeter to find out why its dead.
even better the FSM shows the wires, the colors and the path.
making guessing go to zero.

when working electrics pull battery minus lug, like the FSM directs you.
and keys in pocket. causing load dumps can cause very expensive
electronics to fail. even the EFI, PCM.

The cigarette lighter on my 1995 Toyota Corolla does not work. The radio works fine. The problem started after I used an air compressor to inflate my tires. The air compressor attaches to the cigar

On the back side of the lighter there is a fusable link between the incoming power wire and the metal tab that connects power to the lighter. This is a very small wire, bent 90 degrees, between two tabs that are mounted on the same small screw. It looks like the incoming power tab and the power to the lighter would be connected, but they are insulated from each other on the screw. If the fusable link is blown, you will have power at the power connector on the back of the lighter, but no power to the center terminal inside the lighter.
