Missing USB cable

I don't want to put specific websites on here (not sure that would be fair advertising), but if you Google this phrase "vivitar vivicam 8400 usb data cable", then you'll find several places that sell them. They're about $20 USD

Nothing on camera

Had to grin - this sounds familiar.

Why the pix are buried layers down I don't understand either.
Check your "My Computer" with the camera attached to see if the system sees the storage of it.
It should list it as a "Removable Drive" and (I have a number of drives) assigns 'K' to the camera when it is attached.

If it is shown, double-click on the icon and it should open it without problem.
If it doesn't, you have some lousy driver missing - you may have to reinstall Oly's software.
If it opens there should be a folder shown; my Oly uses DCIM, which, when opened, shows 100OLYMP folder.
This opened shows whatever pix are there.

If nothing works, attach the camera and note that it has established communication with the system, then reboot.
This will often force Blindows to recognize and reinstall missing software ****.

Hi ! You can get the entire manual via pdf file on the Olympus website. I will attach a link here and will try to attach the pdf file itself!
http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_archived_product_details.asp?id=1224&fl=8

Also -- you can go to their Support then Software/Downloads for the stuff you are missing since you did not get the CD!

Hope this helps! :) Amy

PS -- it wouldnt let me add the pdf file - I'm sorry
