Re: blank screen as per all the others - I have exactly...
MIne did the very exact thing. I called Logitech tech support and they had me do the firmware update in safe mode, but that still didn't solve the problem. They assigned a case number and 3 days later I got an e-mail from them saying that they were sending me a free replacement. They will ask a lot of questions about the remote and be prepared to remove the batteries as they will need the numbers that are on a sticker in the battery compartment. They told me to throw away the old one once the new one arrived, but since it still functions, I will keep it around as a backup.

When you press power button press F1 or F2 or "del" key if you can see bios screen then you not need to refix RAM memory or reset bios. IF you can see bios screen then lake sure harddisk is detected and SATA is disable then save settings and exit. Also when you power up press F8 key if you able to see safe mode and other menu then you have change screen resolution enter in enable vga mode. Then open control panel and display then change scree resolution to 1024*768. Then apply and ok. But if you can't see bios screen or nothing in dispaly then you have to refix RAM memory . Check in back side there is 1 plate open it then refix RAM memory. If still not get display then open back cover of laptop then find motherbord on it then pull cmos cell for 10 minutes so all settings go to defaults then again refix cmos cell then check.
remove the memorys and check the memory slots for any damaged pins .test the memory one by one on 2 slots(power off place one memory on slot1 and power on then do that procedure on slot2 ) if the laptop boot, one memory or one slots have problem and you can work with another one ,if you didnt see the boot screen at all try to reset the Bios .
if still dont work have to repair or replace the mainboard.
Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty.
If not, try taking out your hard disk plug in power, if it works, hard disk is faulty.
Try taking out memory card, if there's a sound, memory card faulty. If no sound, it's your motherboard that is causing the error.
try to remove all external device connected to your computer. just leave the keyboad, mouse and monitor connected.
if still a blank screen
remove everything connected to your computer (mouse kyeboard and monitor) restart if nothing happens
open your computer and remove all devices (hard drive, optical drives, memory... restart,,, you should be hearing beeping sounds indicating motherboard is looking for memory. try putting back 1 memory at a time and checking all mem slot. to identify if one of the memory could be causing the blank screen. if both memory will not work try to use known good working memory. if you dont get to hear the beeping sound using a known good working memory. your memory is the problem.
