Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

If you don't have the CD with intelli-studio, you could try some free software like Photoshop Express, Ulead, Gimp, BeFunkey, Perhaps these packages also can download pictures from your camera.

Most drivers your computer needs, are in the modern operating systems. Only when you have Win 2000 or elder, you need drivers from the CD. Perhaps some elder MACs need drivers too from the CD that came with the camera.

have you tried connecting other memory drives with your computer? maybe there is a problem with your computer's hard drive. If the other devices can be connected, then check your cord for an damages and get a new one perhaps

My PC doesnt recognise my Samsung ES28 when i connect it , I bought it with no disc , do i need a driver or software ?

YES YOU SURELY NEED THE DRIVERS. YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THEM FROM THE SAMSUNG SITE FROM THE SUPPORT SECTION.

Hi, you may try to recover your photos from you camera.
1. connect your camera's memory card to computer using card slot on computer or a card reader.
2. downloand an useful photo recovery tool, here I recommend you to use asoftech photo recovery program http://www.asoftech.com/apr/
3. launch it, select the SD card in left list and click "Start" to start the automatic scanning process.
4. and then choose the photos you want to recover from the list of all recoverable photos and click "Recover".

Photos to computer

You need a data cable. Once you have that cable, you can download Samsung PC Studio from samsung.com and can trasfer photos.
Otherwise, put a microSD card inside, and transfer photos on card, and read that card through card reader.
