Well it sounds like the console it's self needs to be cleaned out then 4.5 mm bit screw driver to open her up lukue games sell those 4.5 mm game bit tool compressed air to clean it out and it should work
Hi amitchell47,
The rubber belts that turns the gears is already worn out.
Usually, there are two rubber belts in a cassette deck. You have to replace both belts.
I hope everything works out. Good luck.
The most obvious cause is a dead cartridge. The other cause is that the turntable is fine, but your amp is not. The reason being that the turntable input on your amp has a pre-amp just for the deck. So you might hear the tape/cd fine, but not the deck. If it is the amp, that's faulty, you can trace the wires from the socket to the PC board. Some amps have this pre-amp on a seperate PC board. You might find a single IC doing the work, my bet is that has gone.
The CIC chip, also known as lock out chip, may have gone bad. Here is a quote from a site I found.
"Every SNES control deck has a regional lockout chip (known as a CIC),
as does every original SNES game cartridge. Before a game is loaded,
the console will attempt to communicate with the CIC chip on the game
cartridge. If the CIC chip doesn't respond or does not correspond with
the consoles CIC, the console won't load the game. In most cases, a
black screen is displayed."
Hi
Does the deck have VU meters?...or a graphic display of some kind to indicate there is sound being picked up from the heads?
If there are, and they are not moving or flashing, as the case may be, then you could have a wire off the head, or a problem in the preamp circuit, or if the deck is older, it could be as simple as a dirty play/record switch. I would need more info to help further.
Good Luck!
