Can I use only the black cartrige on my Canon Pixma MP150 printer? If install only the black cartrige (new) it does't work and if I install both cartriges (black new and colour emprty) the printer doesn' recocnize either of them. Pease help..

You can only refill those cartridges if you do it before the ink is empty. After that you need a new cartridge or a chip resetter to reset the chip on the cartridge so it will work again.

may be you not installed the scanner application software if you have driver disk of printer choose the customs installation and select the scanning option menu and re install it the application.

E5 is saying that ink is not installed, generic cartridges, or not installed properly, If all those are good you could have a defective carriage assembly and need shop work.

you have a dirty film strip, its a clear strip and where you put in the inks it runs just behind that the printhead uses it to know where it is when you are doing a print or copy job, just get a bit of metho on a tissue and very very gentle give it a wipe from one side to the other, will fix ya problem

open the top or lid and wait for the ink to slide to the middle. if there is a clip then unclip it. install new ink.
