Had a problem with Toshiba Satellite A205-S5800. Could not remember password, or the laptop created a new password after 3 tries at trying to remember. Ran recovery disc, and now the HDD password box comes up and asks for a password again, and luckily, before I ran recovery, I accidentally set a HDD password in the BIOS MODE . . . and now, it asks for it again. I thought everything was RESET. How does one "unset" a BIOS password. When I got to BIOS NOW . . . it says "HDD PASSWORD IS FROZEN". Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you have another account on your laptop that has administrator rights, log in into that account and change the password for your account. If you have an administrator account (even if you don't try putting in Administrator and leave password field blank) try using that account to reset the password, otherwise try one of the following:
- see this for XP http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321305
- or this for Vista/Win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/What-to-do-if-you-forget-your-Windows-password
- or if anything else didn't work you can use thrid party software from Hiren's Boot CD to reset your password http://www.hirensbootcd.org/download/Hirens.BootCD.12.0.zip

When i install windows 7 on my Toshiba A205 S5800 it crashes and won't let me do anything after that, when i connected the ethernet cable it gave me a BSOD and then it wont boot up. i've tried like 3 times...

Well ..Spilling anything on a laptop or any computer component is always a no-no situation. I couldn't tell you what you may have "broke" but I highly doubt that it was just a "fuse"

My Toshiba A205 S4777 won't start up and I can't use the recovery media to fix it.

Try flashing the bios by pulling the chord out attached to the "watch" battery.

Power the laptop off. Unplug it. Remove the battery. Turn it over. Open the bottom panels. Look for a small battery. Unplug this battery. Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds. RE-Assemble everything. Turn it back on - hopefully it has cleared the settings and you will be prompted to enter the BIOS.
