I have a OLyMPUS D-555 Zoom digital camera. I cannot download my pictures onto my computer because I have lost the two software discs that came with the camera. I have the Basic Manual (paper booklet) but without the software I cannot really use this camera as it is supposed to be used. Is there any way I could download this software online?

You don't need any special software.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa:

THIS IS MY SITUATION -- MY DIGITAL CAMERA IS AN OLYMPUS CAMEDIA C-60 ZOOM

IF you are using Xp , just plug in camera with USB lead . Open MY COMPUTER find the icon for the camera( usually found after the DVD/cd drives ) adn just drag or use the move command to move the requiredfiles to where ever you want . I NEVER use the Olympus software too long winded . Hope it helps :)
