My lexmark X2500 is connected powered on everything is set correctly but it keeps saying problem communicating with my printer. I was trying to print a test page and it wont work. Deleted the printed and reinstalled it, I Turned it off and back on unplugged the usb and plugged it back in and still nothing any help is appreciated. Thanks Todd

A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC. Simply disconnect the printer from your computer. Reboot your pc. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. Then try to print again once the computer fully recognizes the USB connection.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Re-brick your printer. Pull out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list, then try to print a document again to verify that the problem is fixed.

I would uninstall the printer and then reinstalling the printer and software. If this does not work check all cables to be sure they are not bad. Make sure all cables are connected.

Open up the printer and make sure there is no paper jammed anywhere in it

try re-insatalling gthe scanner driver again...

Download and reinstall the drivers for your printer. Just go to google and type in the printer model and "drivers".

Try cleaning the copper plates and install back again if the same message pops up try single cartridge if the error exits with 2 cartridges ,replace the cartridge as lexmark cart has 1 year warranty..

unstall it all download drivers from website not use cd ok

sorry my printer is lexmark 1200 series, tried restarting,unplugging usb, power supply to printer but keeps just sayin printer not communicating with computer

there is no communication from computer to printer
