Try emailing the manufacturer directly for a manual at [email protected] or call
1-877-525-7070. Ask them to email it and maybe you can open the picture so it is not teeny tiny. Or ask them to mail you one. Faxing never seems to come through clearly.

The manufacturer should be able to assist you with any questions you have to put this crib together.

One helpful tip that I have - Put it together IN the baby's Room! Many 1st time parents like to put it together in the comfort of their livingrooms. It WILL NOT fit through doorways. This is a lesson you DO NOT want to learn the hard way. =)

Good Luck! from Moms Just Know

SOURCE: HOW DO I ACTUALLY CONVERT A 3 in 1 CRIB TO A BED?

I have two children and I changed their beds from the cribs to the day beds by taking the front or footboard part off.  You have to save this part because in order to change it from the day bed to a full bed, you have to buy a siderail kit, take the sides off, and attach the siderails to the headboard and footboard.  Hope this helps!

SOURCE: Bassett Southampton Crib Directions

THE DIRECTIONS FOR BASSETT SOUTHHAMPTON CONVERTIBLE CRIB (model 5925-0521) ARE LOCATED *INSIDE* THE WARNING LABEL ON THE WIRE CRIB BASE. The warning label is an envelope that holds the direction packet. I was confused, too--I thought they hadn't included them with my crib! Hope that helps!

SOURCE: Unique Oak Treasures Crib - Full Bed Bassett Model 5542-0521

We have this crib as well. We bought it from Babys R' Us in 2005.
We also purchased the rails to convert it to a full sized bed. It did not come with instructions but I can explain to you how to put it together.

The rail conversion set should come with 2 pieces of wood that act as the bed frame. You do not need to purchase the extended frame. The set should also come with 4 long screws, the hex tool to tighten it and 4 metal pieces. You might also have some wood nail cover plugs.

Once you've taken apart your crib, the only pieces that you will need are the 2 longer pieces of the crib...the headboard and the footboard. The 2 shorter side pieces which served as a headboard and footboard as a crib and the metal grate to hold up the mattress can be put into storage.

On the sides of each of the new wood rails, you will see a circle indent on each end with a hole. You will insert one of the long screws into each and then insert it into the head board. You must use the special tool to screw/ tighten it in. The metal flat pieces can be inserted into it the circle befor eyou are done tightning so that it does not strip or damage the end of the circle. You do this with the other rail on the other end and then add the footboard using the same process. If you would like, I can send you a copy of what this looks like close up. ( the cricle indent with screws. The bed is extremely strong. We've all napt in it as a family along with our 2 large dogs. I highly recommend ordering the extra long/ tall bed rails from OneStepAhead for security because my son has rolled out of the bed and it is super tall!

Bassett crib model 5530-0621 purchased in 2007- how to convert to day bed? Currently have it set up as a crib

If you don't have the rails to convert, Bassett discontinued the crib in2008. You can convert it using a standard metal (bolted) frame found in mattress or furniture stores. I called customer service today and found this information. 7/15/2013
