I'm fixing a sanyo microwave oven with model # em-g2565s. grill is being heat up but the micro doesn't heat up the food. I already check the HV capacitor & HV diode, and it is still ok. I trying to find out what other component are really bad and preventing it not to heat up the food. Thanks...

Yes grilling works similar to oven the difference is that it has one heating element on the top where as oven has two heating elements top & bottom and temperature can be adjusted .

Sanyo microwave

Could be the Magnatron, Diode, HV Cap or Transfomer, some also have a high voltage fuse that blow. Unless you really are confident playing with Very High Voltages, and have a meter capable of 5000v, I dont recommend you repair yourself as a microwave will happily electrocute you. Also if the discharge resistor has burnt out on the cap (assuming it was fitted on your model) the capacitor can store enough power to kill you even when the unit is unplugged so you must discharge the cap before playing with anything else to be safe.

Sanyo microwave EM-X515G

I'm thinking that the circuit board has a problem. I doubt it will work but disconnect all the connectors on the board...with the power off and reconnect. It may clean off some goo. If not, use your method as long as it will work and then consider a new board.
