I've had my Coolpix L10 camera for less than a year and the flash has stopped working. I have tried all the different settings and even turned the flash on all times... still not working. I think it is burnt out. How do I fix it? and where would I buy a new flash for it. I think it's ridiculous that it's been less than a year.

Click on the top of the dial to the right of the screen (where it shows a flash of light logo). This should allow you to select one of the different flash settings - always on, always off, auto etc. Study the manual about what each of those mean for more details.
I had the exact same problem,on the back of the camera there is a 3 position slide switch make sure its in the position that works with flash mine is in the middle spot I think the switch is/was a bit dicky try playing with the switch a bit, anyway mine now works 100%.Try it anyway.John Leigh.
My daughter has a coolpix L10 that had a similar problem. Try this:
Put the camera in movie mode and turn it on. Press the menu button and go to setup. Go to the battery menu and make sure the correct battery selection is made (i.e. Alkaline, NiMH, etc.) She changed from alkaline batteries to rechargeable NiMH and the camera would do the same thing you are describing until we made the correct battery selection.
