9 flashes generally indicate a lid switch error. Check the switch or the wiring..
i also agree with toddg, in that you will need to check the main circuit board...akin to the problem with the control board..

If the lid switch is defective, your washer can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washer to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
Some machines have a special lid-switch fuse near the lid switch, inside the control panel. If this fuse blows, the unit won't fill with water until you replace the fuse.

Our fs1255w will not respond to the programme switch. The "end" light flashes 9 times all the time. it has been suggested that a fuse on the lid may have blown but this problem has been gradual and do we have a lid switch for a front loader. The fuse would of made this problem instantanious and not gradual

zanussi fs1255w front loading w/machine. The programme dial is not turning the machine on.All that happens is the "end" light flashes 9 times. This is a code but zanussi will not tell me what the problem is without paying £60. It has slowly taken a few weeks to get to this situation, sometimes working, sometimes not
