Blaupunk car300 (d) radio --no code just been given a radio that is original spec for my car - astra 1997 unfortunately i do not have the code. attempted via the web to get one but this is a failure 7 tries left. please suggest the correct route that i may use .

Hi Kevin search through all your paper work, any repair order sheets from dealers hand books etc. If no joy you will have to go to Holden's there are far too many codes used to be able to offer any specific one for your radio. The Dealer may be able to obtain the code on your behalf. There will probably be a charge. Good luck

Astra coded radio cant enter code??

I would suggest that your radio got a voltage surge when your battery was recently removed and re-connected. I would either:

1) Remove radio (if you have the special tool), unplug and re-connect harness, or

2) Pull the fuse in the fuse box for the radio (may be two), or

3) Disconnect the negative post to the battery, wait 30 seconds and re-apply (very quickly).

If the display does not reappear, I'm afraid the radio is damaged. Let me know.

The serial number you need to post is stamped into the unit and should begin gm or bp followed by I think 14 numbers?

Unfortunately the code for a Vauxhall VDO/SIEMENS radio is only available from the Main Vauxhall Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service only.and will not be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet

This is because access is required to the original factory database....and this is not commercially available.

Stereo code for vauxhall astra cdr500

Unfortunately the majority of SIEMENS/VDO codes
(including your CDR2005) will NOT be available for free (or cheap) from anywhere on the Internet as access is required to the original factory database…which is not commercially available..

Try your Main Dealer or a Decoding Service or your local Car Radio / Audio Shop (who are normally the cheapest option) who will connect it to a laptop to read/recode the memory chip (EEPROM)

Just got a 1997 vauxhall astra 1.4 ls but it needs a code for the radio any ideas???

go to opel or wauhall forum, download one small program and according your win number, it will tell you code for your radio (if it's original radio),
