I plugged the 110v. Panasonic bread machine SD-YD250 to the kitchen wall outlet and there was a big spark. I was able to reset the circuit breaker and the power was restored. I plug the bread machine and there's no display on the LCD but the motor or kneader is spinning. What could be the problem?

SOURCE: No power when plugged in/no display. Reset button of no help.

The machine automatically reset after 24 hours of being disconnected from the electrical outlet.
When plugged in after 24 hours, power returned to the circuit board and the display was activated.

SOURCE: bread machine sparked when plugging into wall outlet

The power supply of the breadmaker has been compromised. In aa few of the early B&D's tyhere was an internal fuse. However, one has to know why it fused when connecting which begs the question what has happened while it lay dormant since the last usage.

Moisture is usually the fiorst thought, but mice piddle has to be considered too if it has any areas on it that mice could get in. Bare wire on the cord itself is also not to be under estimated as a cause.

Panasonic SD-YD250 turns off in middle of cycle

Here are some possible reasons why your Panasonic SD-YD250 bread maker might be turning off in the middle of a cycle:

Power Interruption: If there is a power interruption during the baking process, the bread maker will turn off automatically. To avoid this, ensure that the power supply is stable and uninterrupted throughout the baking process.

Overheating: If the bread maker overheats, it will turn off automatically to prevent damage to the machine. Ensure that the bread maker is placed in a well-ventilated area and not near any heat sources.

Faulty Power Cord: If the power cord is damaged or faulty, it can cause the bread maker to turn off in the middle of a cycle. Check if the power cord is damaged or frayed and replace it if necessary.

Faulty Control Panel: If the control panel is faulty, it can cause the bread maker to turn off in the middle of a cycle. In this case, you may need to contact Panasonic customer support for assistance.

Sd-250

Panasonic has the manual for the SD-YD250 here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/SDYD250.PDF . This manual has several recipes at the end. Some recipes should not be done completely in the bread machine. (Follow the directions on using bread-machine flour or bread flour; the differences in the protein contents will matter.)

I hope this helps.

I need a manual for the sd-bt56p not the yd205

The links to the manual posted here are useful!I have the BT56- without manual unfortunately. However, YD250 manual was a useful guide - it that has a similar "Yeast-drop" arrangement that seems unique to Panasonic. The other settings on the BT56 are pretty generic and easy to intuit. Only caveat...after you plug in the machine, DON'T hit the big START button. Here is the sequence:* plug in machine* Choose cycle (White/whole wheat, dough only etc)* Set timer * Put in dry ingredients first, put in wet next, load yeast in dispenser * Hit Start - this starts cycle.* To Reset, hold down start for a few secs.Hope this helps, good luck.

Breadmaker will not allow me to select bread type.

I have one of these and when you turn it on you just keep pressing the "menu" button until the little arrow is next to the type of bread or dough that you wish to make. It sounds as if it may be faulty.
