I have an Amana top/bottom refrigerator MOD# ABD2533DES. The freezer is working but the frige is not. I cleaned the coils that were not real dirty. Nothing is freezing up and I can hear the fan running. The unit is about 4 years old. Any suggestions? I have checked the doors to make sure they are sealed off when closed. There are no obstructions on the vents.

Check and see if the freezer coils are blocked with ice. If not you may have a refrigerant problem as you stated the coils were dirty. The new refrigerants when hot tend to clog the capillary tube which feeds the refrigerant to the evaporator (freezer coils)

There is an air filter that is located below or behind your appliance. To cool, the refrigeration unit must have circulating air coming into the machine. Look for a honey-comb like panel, similar to a car radiator and clean it. This should radically cool down the operation of your fridge/freezer. Lint and dust collect in the radiator area and block airflow.

you have a defrost problem. the heater is not energized and ice accumulates. if you have an volt/ohm meter i would start by ohming out the heaters. this is normally the issue

Change it out with a electric model from lowes

1.Dirty condenser coils where heat is transfered to the room air. 2.Frost build-up on back wall of freezer section which would indicate a defrost system problem.
