i have recently purchased an acer 5920G notebook and installed windows xp in it, is it true that the empowering button and arcade button works only with windows vista .... or there is a problem with my piecelo
Some special buttons need a special utility installed before you can use them. Go to the Acer website and try to find the utility that works with the hot buttons.

What i would do is get a windows installation cd (the type used by computer builders) install it, and put in your windows xp key, that green sticker with numbers
