Wireless capability is turned off--how do I get it back

usually one can access the webGUI and enter there password (usually default)
access the GUI by opening firefox or IE or chrome or there web browser and plugging in an ethernet cable then go to (address bar): (belkin usually) (linksys usually)
this depends on your computer configuration.
there should be a wireless tab, click it and it should say disabled.

Want to change user name and pass word

You can do so by opening the GUI page of the router:

First connect it to the computer through a Ethernet wire and then check the default gateway (go to command prompt and type ipconfig)

put in the default gateway address in the internet explorer address bar

Log in to GUI..the default username and password is following

Username: admin
Password: admin

Username: admin
Password: password
Log in and change the username and would also be able to change the wireless password (WEP key) from same

Steps to find the default gateway

I try to contact my router with the adress and it doesn't work. Can you help me?

Basically your Router will have a hard coded addres on your network such as You can find this address in your network properties. On your computer go to:

Control Panel
Double click on Network Connections
Select your Network Adapter (Double Click)
Click on the Support Tab

Here where it says default Gateway is the address of your Router enter this address in the Browser address bar and you ahould be able to communicate with the Web GUI of your Router.

Good Luck

Cannot open web page through router

Try opening network connections TCP/IPv4 on your pc and add ip address manualy to be in the same number match the same as your router ie default gateway and preferred DNS Server eg or depending on what default the router is set on the ip address should be the same apart from the last no. eg or subnet mask will default to the right setting if you push the tab key after entering the ip address

Hope this helps

Need to telnet or web into speedstream 5360 modem

I believe the default IP address for those is and the login and password are both admin. If that address doesn't get you to the login screen, do the following.

1. Go to start>run
2. Type cmd and hit enter
3. Type ipconfig
4. Write down the default gateway address
5. Type that address into your web browser and see if it connects to the gui now.

If that doesn't help let me know and I'll keep digging for the manual but wow is it hard to find anything about it online.

When I set up the router It comes back with the internet is not hook up, but when I hook the intern et up to the lap top it goes right through Please help me with this problem

try restarting the modem while it is connected to the router. the modem probably thinks that it is hooked straight up to a computer not a router. if that doesn't work go to the web gui by going to the routers ip address on a computer connected to the router. the easiest way to find its ip is to go to run (or the bottom search bar if in vista) and type in cmd. once this is up type in ipconfig /all look for the the default gateway. write this number down somewere.
next go get on a web browser (internet exploiter or fire fox) and in the address bar type in that number. this will take you to the web gui. start adjusting the router so that it works with your internet service.
