Judy,
Without knowing who your cable phone provider is, I can't be sure. (My internet phone service provides call forwarding services, however each provider offers varying services for different fees.)
If I were you, I would contact my cable phone service provider to confirm your services. Your Motorola phone should be able to receive the forwarded calls just fine.
It's definitely worth checking into. I love the service!
Happy Communicating!

Figure out if your particular cell phone model has the option to forward incoming calls. You can do this by visiting your cell phone manufacturer's website or reading the manufacturer's manual that came along with the purchase.
Access the "Settings" menu on your cell phone and select "Phone Settings" menu.
Select the "Call Forwarding" option in the "Phone Settings menu. This option is usually found at the bottom of the "Phone Settings" menu. Selecting the "Call Forwarding" option gives you access to call-forwarding controls.
Switch on the "Call Forwarding" slider. The default position is off.
Insert the phone number you wish to forward your calls to in the "Forward To" field. This field most commonly lies below the "Call Forwarding" slider.
Exit the setup menu by pressing the home button. You may be asked to confirm/save the changed settings depending on your cell phone model.
Make a test phone call to the cell phone number on which you just enabled the call rerouting option. If the call is forwarded and received on the number you entered, it means that the "Call Forwarding" option has been activated.
