Question about Cameras

IT works DSC 568P - pink camera

My daughter was given this camera and we have not been able to get it to work! First of all we had trouble with batteries - now using rechargeable but it won't let us take any photos - we can look at all the menu but when you try to take a photo a symbol flashes up in the bottom right corner which is not in the manual - nor will it let us delete the 6 pictures which are on it

Try this:
RESET ALL .. this should be somewhere in the menus.
By resetting the internal firmware, it may allow the camera to reset itself and get back to the way it was from the factory. Resetting is similar to resetting the bios in a computer.

Make sure you pick the kind of battery and choose rechargeable batteries. This may make a diff. in digital cameras.
Rechargeable batteries have a diff. voltage compared to non-rechargeable. Try putting the other kind of batteries back in and see what happens, if you are not able to change it.

My sony dsc wx9 has a pink screen. One minute it worked fine, I set it down for one minute, picked it up to use and the screen was pink.

Tap the screen next time it goes pink, see if it changes, you may have a bad viewfinder LCD panel.

Video sound!

Hi. Yes there should be sound with video because its essentially acting as a video camera when in movie/video mode. If you can see a small hole on the front of the camera facing the same direction as the lense, that would be the microphone. Sometimes it even says "mic" at the hole or even may show a picture of a microphone.

I have an older DSC-P52 camera and am having trouble

There is no reason why the MicroSD adapter shouldn't work in the camera providing the card adapter is the right size for the camera.

I myself use an adapter in my own camera and have no problems with it.
