I have the nuvi 205W series in a foreign language and can't get it back to english

With the satnav turned off press the bottom right corner of the screen and turn it on. This brings up an option to reset it. There may be an easier solution however that will not lose you your favourites etc. I presume the problem is that it's in a different language and you want it back to English. Resetting it will not do this. To get back to English;

• Press TOOLS (The spanner symbol on the bottom right corner of the screen which shows WHERE TO and VIEW MAP) This may take some trial and error if it's in a foreign language but should be possible)
  
• Press SETTINGS (The spanner icon) or LOCALE (the blue icon) on some models that don't have a settings menu)
• Press LANGUAGE (the lips icon)

This brings you to a screen with 3 items; VOICE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD. Press each one in turn and select English or American English if you're in the USA. With the VOICE setting you may have to select a name rather than English. If so select the name of a person from an English speaking country.

• Press VOICE and select a voice from an English speaking country.
• Press TEXT and select English or American English if you're in the USA

This should solve your problem. I realise you may not be able to know which is which item in the language screen but if you press each one and select English it will solve the problem

If it's in French you won't know which is which but it will show the language beside the TEXT LANGUAGE icon. Francais is the French word for French. To change the voice language press VOICE and select an English speaking name. To change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and select English or American English if you're in the USA.

This should solve your problem.

Press SETTINGS (The Spanner Symbol) or LOCALE on models that don't have settings(Blue Symbol)

This will bring you to a page with 3 items VOICE LANGUAGE, TEXT LANGUAGE and KEYBOARD
If you need to change the voice language press VOICE LANGUAGE and select a name of an English speaking country.
If you need to change the text language press TEXT LANGUAGE and change to English
This should solve your problem

1. Press Tools, the symbol in the bottom right corner of a spanner.
2. Press Settings, the symbol in the top left corner of a spanner.
3. Press Language, the symbol of lips

You'll see 3 bars one for text language, one for voice language and one for keyboard layout.
Press each one in turn and select english as the language.

go into your settings and or advanced settings and select language ! select english

use settings language and scroll left or riht until ENGLISH appears in the box
izquierda is left right dirreccio

acceptar is the one to accept

Click on the wrench tool button, then the picture of the sprockets which is system, then click the lips/mouth. Once there, you should be able to change the voice and text to English. Just click on one of the boxes to change it to your chosen language.

Go into the wrench menu, find the locales menu (red lips) in that menu you are able to select the language/measurement/time settings
