Question about LG 30FS1D TV

Open Question

HDMI module The hdmi quit working. The TV works fine through the components cables. I tried the hdmi cable on another tv and it worked fine. Where can I buy a hdmi module? I have a 32" LG Slim projection HDTV that i bought 2 years ago and have never been able to get the HDMI to work... see below. I have tried plugging in several HDMI cables and equipment (ie. PS3 and DVD player) to my TV.  I have seen the cables and equipment work on others TV so i know its not the equipment. Neither the HDMI connection or the coaxial HD connections will recognize a signal from my PS3.  I tried this connection when i bought the TV and it would not detect a signal then...  I thought i was doing something wrong so i connected the DVD thru the front regular coaxial (3 cable) connection.   so basically none of my HD connections will recognize a signal and the regular connections work fine. I really hope that there is something that i just need to turn on or format.  Any help is greatly appreciated.

SOURCE: Protron HDTV Cable hook up

D4 is a Japanese HD standard, which is why it's almost impossible to find any cables with a D4 connector on it in the US.

I have the same Protron TV you're talking about, but it's been rebranded as Ultra. Did you not receive a D4 cable when you bought the TV?

If not here is where you can get the cable you need: http://www.igsshop.com/product_info.php?products_id=162

or here

https://www.digitalconnection.com/store/Product_List.asp?CID=3&CAT=D4%20SCART/COMPONENT

This should allow you to get HD signal from your cable box (granted you have an HD cable box) to your TV.

SOURCE: How to Connect HDMI Components with AVR 3805 as Hub

In reference to the comment you added to our chat session:

Just connect your receiver to your TV using the same cable your receiver is currently using to connect to your TV, be it Composite, S-Video, or Component. Just switch your TV to that input when you need to set-up something on the receiver.

SOURCE: bought a used lg ru52sz51d

It sounds to me as though your old HDTV has a HD tuner built in. Not all HDTVs do and unfortunately your LG does not (I looked it up).

If you want to get free over the air HD you will need to buy a HD digital tuner box and an HD antenna.

Good luck!

Sony KDL-40NX711 HDMI PORTS STOPPED WORKING. EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS FINE. WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS TO HAPPEN?

Sounds like everything works. Your remote has an input menu. Have you cycled it around to the right component? i.e. HDMI1 or HDMI2, or DVD, even PC?
If not, try that.

Viera TH-L39E5K. Why isn't HDMI connection working?

Try a different HDMI cable first into all ports. Try every HDMI cable you have. Then try a different component into TV HDMI ports. If you are using the receiver to switch inputs, try running HDMI cable straight into TV. HDMI is very finicky. Some cables won't work or stop working for no apparent reason.

First, HDMI is not a perfect hook-up solution. Cable box connections via HDMI are notorious for being problematic. The best thing you can do is contact Samsung and get the latest firmware for your TV.
Samsung Customer Care: 1-800-Samsung (1-800-726-7864). If this does not resolve the issue, connect the cable box using Component cables instead of the HDMI. Component cables are HD also. I hope this was of some assistance.

not 100% sure but check the manual for your tv it may be that you need a faster hdmi cable, as with having a larger tv it will work at a faster rate so the basic hdmi cables wont work.

Try the anothe HDMI input or cable or try HDMI from another source (DVD) you could also try component in(Ry,Gy and By) to see if that works.you need first to determine if it's a cable box, cable or TV issue.

Hello

by befault your dvd recorder is transmiting signals via component video, so what you need to do is this connect both cable HDMI and Component or just a video cable then go into setup and then select video out via HDMI your video will go off on the screen and then with TV remote slect input source HDMI on TV and it should work fine.

Thankyou
