My v710 suddenly stopped working, i.e., I dial a number, but it is unable to connect make the connection -- the screen just keeps saying "calling number."

First of all disconnect all peropheral connected to your motherboard. Take out Your RAM and clean it with soft clothe. Reinsert ram and restart your PC. If you can get display at this point then shut down your PC connect all peripheral back and restart your PC.
check printer connections and try again but if still not working go to control panel add and remove click to select program remove HP Photosmart then back to main window, insert the disk and install again driver, follow commands you see on the screen . but first unplug internet connection then exit anti virus before you start installing driver HP Photosmart .good luck

Plug a phone in to fax port, Is there a dial tone there also? can you dial a number and make a call from the fax port? You should be able to with a regular phone. If you can't, try plugging in the fax machine to the other port where your phone is plugged in. try sending a fax.If it works there, then the Vonage device or your service itself is the problem.
check your screen if there is a small number 2 in the corner or up the top somewhere then this shows you have your phone set on line two for call waiting
go to call settings in your menu and change phone line in use back to line 1
YOU HAVE THE WRONG SETRVICE CENTRE NUMBER IN YOU NEED TO RING YOU PROVIDER AND GET THEM TO SEND SETTINGS OR THERE GUIDE YOU THRO IT OR IF YOU HAVE THE SERVICE CCENTRE NUMBER GO INTO STTINGS THEN TXT MESSAGES THEN CENTRE NUMBER DELETE AND PUT NEW ONE IN AND SAVE THEN IT SHOULD WORK
