Please make sure that the correct mode setting has been selected. Depending on model you will see the mode button has four little icons. A star/crystal, a teardrop, a sun (circle with lines out going) and a sort of triangle. You press this button until the correct icon appears on the display, it should be the sun icon.

I have an older Goodman mini-split A/C unit, Model# MSG18HRN1W. On colder nights, at or just before freezing, in heat mode, the unit shuts itself of, and all 4 lights blink repeatedly.

It is meant to shut off when it gets so cold that the unit cannot make warm air from outside air that is too cold. When it reaches that situation, it should be switching the heating effort to the built in resistance heating. In other words, it gives up and directs that many KW of electricity go straight into heater coils, like and electrical dryer has. It is very expensive to heat this way. Most whole house heat pumps can't handle cold air. The newer mini split ductless heat pumps lower can work with outside air temperature below freezing depending on the manufacturer.

Carrier fa4anf036 home heater not a car. Blows luke warm common for an electric heater?

As near as I can tell from internet information. This model is a heat pump. It transfers cold air out of the house and gets what ever warm air might be outside the house. In extreme cold weather an auxiliary electric heater should make up the difference. The filters must be clear. There is a limit what the heat pump can do in cold weather. Your electric heater may not be activating. You could try raising the thermostat. A service technician may be needed to determine why the electric heater is not working.

Have oil heater that we had serviced yesterday. Heater stays at temperature but circulating pump will not send heat to upstairs radiators. (heater in basement) Any advice?

Try putting in central heat and air in your house don't rely on some basement heater then you will have a basement heater for when it get cold

Is a split a/c alc and a heating or heat pump?

a split system can be gas or can be a heatpump. a split system is when the condenser coil compressor and outdoor fan is outside. the other half is in the house close to your air filter .that well be your air handler. eletric heater. or gas burner .and indoor fan motor would be. i hope that helps you.

Is the pump flow to or away from the watermaker?

In city water or well water system ... the cold water flows from the tank (or meter) toward the hot water heater. The cold water splits in two (so to speak) at the heater with one part going on to the house to supply all cold water needs while the other part goes into the water heater to be heated. On the other side of the hot water heater, there is a system that paralles the cold water system to supply the hot water needs of your home.

I hope this answers your question.

LG split system cooler/ heater heater not working

This could be a problem with the interconnecting wiring or a control board problem with either the indoor or outdoor unit. I would have these issues looked out.
Hope this helps

Ford taurus Wagon 2001 heater problem

Check your coolant level. If the antifreeze is low the water pump may not be able to pump enough of the coolant through your heater core. When the car runs faster it is able to pump more of the warm antifreeze to the heater core.

20 year old central a/c heater not working

Check your thermostat and mode selector setting, thermostat setting should be set at warmer and mode selector setting should be at low heat or hight this is applicable for manual unit.
If it is a remote control just set the remote to heat mode.
